Mike O’Shea isn’t sure if Henoc Muamba will be a Bomber once again, but he does like the idea of having the Canadian linebacker a part of his defence.
“It certainly would give us a lot of flexibility on both sides of the ball and game in and game out we could make some different decisions. That kind of flexibility certainly goes a long way as the season goes on,” O’Shea told Bob Irving on 680 CJOB in Winnipeg on Monday.
The Bombers hosted Muamba for parts of three days and two nights Sunday to Tuesday, wining and dining the ratio-breaking Canuck.
“We’ve had a chance to chat, he’s still got some questions he needs to get answered and maybe not just from the Bombers. I’m sure whenever Henoc is ready to make a decision he’ll let everybody know,” O’Shea said.
Sources say Muamba was “favouring” signing with Winnipeg recently, however, his decision is not yet final. O’Shea cautioned many who want to jump to conclusions about Muamba joining the Bombers.
“But it’s a little premature yet to pencil him in.”
