In 2017 Elimimian set a CFL record with 144 tackles in 18 games.
“Solomon has been the centerpiece of our defence for a number of years and this is great news for the club and our fans,” said head coach Wally Buono in a statement. “He continues to play at a very high level and I know how deeply he cares for this team and being part of our community.”
The CFL’s Most Outstanding player in 2014 and a two-time Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2014 and 2016, Elimimian is the Lions’ all-time leader in defensive tackles with 719. A four-time CFL all-star.
