Riders longest odds to win Grey Cup, plus best value plays

Saskatchewan had the longest odds to win the 2017 Grey Cup when the regular season started and nothing has changed for the playoffs.

The Riders are 11-to-1 odds to hoist the CFL’s championship trophy via Bet365, down from 16-to-1 when the year kicked-off.

Odds to win Grey Cup:

Calgary Stampeders                             5/6
Winnipeg Blue Bombers                      5/1
Toronto Argonauts                               13/2
Edmonton Eskimos                             17/2
Ottawa Redblacks                                 19/2
Saskatchewan Roughriders                11/1

From the Slam Dunk picks corner there are two teams that stand out from a value perspective.

Toronto is one. The Argos are sailing along with a 5-2 record over their final seven games and are 5-1 with James Wilder Jr. as the starting running back. Marc Trestman knows how to utilize the bye week to his team’s advantage. Shawn Lemon and Victor Butler, plus Marc Ball, expected back at linebacker for the Eastern Final, as the Argos are getting healthy.

Edmonton would be another bargain bet. The Eskimos have rolled off five straight wins heading into the playoffs and appear to be peaking at the proper time. Aaron Grymes has stabilized the secondary and in turn, a fierce defensive front has reaped the benefits. Mike Reilly leads the league in passing yards and total touchdowns and he’s got a totally healthy receiving core along with C.J. Gable running the ball well.

Put $10 down on the Argos and Eskimos to claim the Grey Cup and reap the rewards.
