Trent Richardson out for Riders regular season finale

Trent Richardson is one of a slew of Riders who will be sitting in Saskatchewan’s final regular season game, according to CKRM’s Rod Pedersen.

Trent Richardson put up his first 100-yard rushing performance in the CFL, but he didn’t practice on Tuesday as the Riders prepare to host Edmonton in Week 20.

The 27-year-old ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries to power the Riders to a win over Montreal in Week 19. Richardson has played in four CFL games and increased his yards-per-carry in each one, totalling 259 yards on 48 attempts.

Marshall being out and Marcus Thigpen starting at running back will be interesting. It seems as though Chris Jones wants his team to be as healthy as possible.
