TD Place has a new look in preparation to host the Grey Cup on November 26.
The addition of temporary stands in the east end zone has been completed taking capacity at TD Place from 24,000 to 36,000. There will be more added to the west side of the stadium.
OSEG announced on Thursday that the 105th Grey Cup was sold out, exactly a month before the CFL championship game. That’s a major win for the CFL after 33,421 – lots of freebies were given out – came to BMO Field to witness the Redblacks overtime upset of a heavily favoured Stampeders squad in Toronto last year.
All of those temporary seats in Ottawa will be filled with paying customers.
