The 34-year-old Regina native was released by Edmonton in September after originally signing with the Eskimos in 2016.
Getzlaf was drafted by Hamilton in the fifth round, 33rd overall in 2007 CFL draft. He was traded from the Ticats to the Riders that season and played eight seasons with Saskatchewan, winning two Grey Cups and being named the 2013 Grey Cup Most Outstanding Canadian.
In 147 career games, Getzlaf has made 414 catches for 6,192 yards and 41 touchdowns.
