Veteran defensive lineman Odell Willis was a healthy scratch for Edmonton on Saturday night.
The 32-year-old was coming off his third multi-sack game of the season against Montreal in Week 16 where he took down Drew Willy two times.

Willis had gone six games without a sack, but prioritizing his status for the post-season seems to be the main reason for keeping him out of the Eskimos 30-27 victory over Toronto.
John Chick was a healthy scratch on Thanksgiving Monday and returned to the lineup in Willis’ place to snap a seven-game sackless streak with a sack against Ricky Ray in the win. In 14 games Willis has 19 tackles and eight sacks while Chick has 24 tackles and three sacks in the same amount of action.
Edmonton’s defensive end situation will be worth keeping an eye on down the stretch and in the playoffs.
