Canadian linebacker Bo Lokombo has taken a practice roster spot with the Oakland Raiders.
He made four tackles and defended one pass in four pre-season games with the Baltimore Ravens, but got released earlier this week. Oakland quickly picked him up.
Lokombo signed with the Ravens after spending the last three seasons with the B.C. Lions. The 26-year-old was set to become a free agent on February 14 and the team released him early in order to work out for the Ravens on January 19.
“Bo is a talented and exciting player who brought an extra dimension to our defense,” Lions head coach and general manager Wally Buono said at the time. “We wish him the best as he moves forward into the next phase of his career.”
Last season, Lokombo made nine tackles on defence and 11 on special teams for the Lions.
