Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive end Jamaal Westerman is done for the season.
The 32-year-old Canadian is currently tied for second in the CFL with seven sacks and has led the Bombers in quarterback take downs in each of the last two seasons. He was a CFL all-star in 2015.
Westerman suffered what the team is calling an “upper-body injury” in the Banjo Bowl win over Saskatchewan on Sept. 9.
Big loss for #Bombers. Opens the door for sophomore DE Trent Corney & possible addition of 2013 2nd overall pick Andy Mulumba. #CFL https://t.co/A59QvLQVNd
