CFL’s five games slate produces lowest TV ratings of the season

More games does not necessarily translate into more viewers.

The CFL had its worst TV numbers of the season in Week 5 with its five-game slate watched by an average of 479,000 viewers on English-language TSN. That’s down slightly from the previous low of 480,000 in Week 3.

The rare Wednesday night tilt between Montreal and Ottawa was watched by a season-low 326,000 viewers on TSN.

Overall, average viewership on TSN is down 16.8 per cent compared to last season, with an average 494,000 viewers per game.
