Riders have a new offensive line coach (probably)

It would appear the Saskatchewan Roughriders have themselves a new offensive line coach.

Unconfirmed social media reports have Stephen Sorrells joining the club after spending last season as a graduate assistant with the SMU Mustangs. According to his bio on the site, Sorrells has also served as an assistant offensive line coach atUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and “spent several years coaching high school football in Alabama.

Sorrells’ Twitter bio also lists him as the team’s offensive line coach and features a Riders’ logo as the background image.

The status of Mike Scheper, who held the role last year and is still listed as the offensive line coach on the Riders’ website, remains unclear. Scheper won a Grey Cup with Saskatchewan general manager and head coach Chris Jones in Edmonton before following him to the Riders.
