Canadian kicker Rene Paredes has agreed to terms on an extension with the Stampeders, per CFL sources.
The three-time CFL all-star holds the record for consecutive field goals made with 39. Paredes’ 94.7 field goal conversion percentage in 2013 is currently the all-time standard for a single season. That year he was named the CFL’s Most Outstanding Special Teams player.
After going undrafted in 2010, Calgary signed the Concordia University grad in 2011. During six seasons with the Stamps, Paredes has played in 107 games making 259 of 301 field goals (86 %) with a long of 52 yards.
