Horses, chain saws and the Grey Cup don’t mix, according to the CFL.
The league has informed the Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders that their signature post-touchdown celebrations won’t be allowed during the championship game at BMO Field on Sunday.
That means Quick Six, the white horse that runs down the sidelines of McMahon Stadium after Stampeder touchdowns, will be kept in the corral while Algonquin Loggersports Team that cuts a wood disc – fine, a wood cookie – after each Ottawa major, will be a sad shade of blue instead of, uh, red and black.
The CFL has not, however, banned nightmare-inducing mascots: both Ralph the Dog and Big Joe will be free to terrorize children of all ages during the game.
And what’s up with the World’s Fastest Cow?
