Ticats locked in to second, will host East Semi-Final on Nov. 13

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats will finish second in the East Division and play in the East Semi-Final at Tim Hortons Field on Sun., Nov. 13. Game time will be 1 p.m.

A win by the Ottawa over the Winnipeg on Saturday, coupled with the Ticats’ loss on Friday night, clinched first place in the East for the Redblacks. The Bombers loss also means Hamilton’s playoff opponent is yet to be determined: Winnipeg, Edmonton and B.C. all have a shot at second in the West while the Ticats will face the fourth place finisher via a crossover.

With their playoff fate now set, Hamilton’s final regular season game against the Alouettes next Saturday at Tim Hortons Field will have no impact in the standings. Head coach Kent Austin will have to decide whether to risk playing starting quarterback Zach Collaros and rest some of his banged up starters.
