The Saskatchewan Roughriders overtime win over the Ottawa Redblacks appears to have been a costly one.
According to Riders play-by-play man Rod Pedersen, injury has cost the the team American receivers Armanti Edwards and the recently-signed Jeff Fuller for the season as well Canadian Nic Demiski for next week’s match up with the Toronto Argonauts.
RECs Armanti Edwards (hand), Jeff Fuller (thumb) done for the season. Nic Demski (shoulder) out this week. Try to be thankful for something

Edwards has 19 catches for 183 yards on the season, including a team high six for 83 yards in Friday night’s win over Ottawa while Fuller had two catches for 34 yards in his first game with the club after signing as a free agent last week. Demski has 25 catches for 228 yards while also serving as a punt returner. His loss will also be a blow to the team’s Canadian depth.
Saskatchewan already faces long odds to make the playoffs: a win by the Eskimos on Monday would officially eliminate the Riders from playoff contention. The victory over Montreal would give Edmonton 16 points on the season and while Saskatchewan can get to 16 points by winning their four remaining games, the Esks hold a 2-1 edge in the season series.
