Podskee Wee Wee, Episode 55

On this week’s show, Mike and I talk about “Football Day in Hamilton,” my trip into the dangerous DraftKings waters and how our team did in the CFL Podcast Family Fantasy League.

We then get into the thrilling, amazing, exciting, entertaining, [insert superlative here] Labour Day Classic between the Ticats and Argos. Just… wow. One of the best games of the CFL season and one of the best games I have ever attended.

We jump right into the CFL news, which sadly means we talk about the passing of the legend Normie Kwong, also sadly (but for much different reasons) discuss the Riders’ signing Khalif Mitchell, as well as “Was it DPI or was it not DPI,” the Als’ decision to bench Kevin Glenn in favour of Rakeem Cato and the announcement of, and complaining about, OneRepublic being named the headliner of the Grey Cup halftime show.

Mike hands out his Bozo of the Week and we have our very first repeat winner, and then we preview the rematch between the Argos and Ticats this upcoming Sunday at BMO Field in Toronto.

We wrap things up by making our Week 12 CFL picks — remember to join our Pick ‘Em league to win a great Ticats prize pack — and by answering some listener questions.

Josh Smith has been writing about the Ticats and the CFL since 2010 and was sporting his beard way before it was cool. Will be long after, too.
