3DownNation nominated for Ontario Newspaper Award

The Hamilton Spectator and 3DownNation have been nominated for an Ontario Newspaper Award in the Online Multimedia Special Project category.

According the ONA website, the award is given to a newspaper of any size for a special project that involves a major investment of resources into a single subject. Entries must have multimedia components such as podcasts, video, blogs or slide shows. Other nominees in the category include the Belleville Intelligencer and the Windsor Star.

Launched in 1953, the ONAs honours journalistic excellence in more than two dozen categories from outlets across the province. The awards will be handed out at a gala event in May.
