Just moments after releasing its 2016 schedule, the CFL suffered something of #TwitterFail.
The league account @CFL re-tweeted the same message asking fans to add the schedule to their mobile calendar more than 100 times in under 15 minutes…
@CFL Add the CFL schedule to your mobile calendar and never miss a game – https://t.co/NN3S2daN5s
— CFL (@CFL) February 18, 2016
Reaction from Twitter users ranged from the mildly-amused to the significantly annoyed (most of which we can’t include here due to profanity…)
Sorry @CFL, I have to unfollow you until you sort out this tweeting issue. My timeline is full of the same tweet over and over.

@CFL I know you will reply with the “Add the CFL schedule” tweet but please for the love of the CFL turn that tweet off! #broken.

Dear @CFL, while I enjoy watching your spontaneous @twitter combustion, maybe you want to turn auto reply off.
— Luke Banack (@RadioLuke) February 18, 2016
@CFL okay. Got the message. Stop it. Really.
— Matt Cote (@mlscote) February 18, 2016
@CFL You doin alright?

The CFL finally resolved the problem and issued and apology via Twitter.
Apologies to everyone for the repeated tweets.
You did say you wanted the schedule really badly….
That said, the replies have stopped.

As far as we can tell, the CFL only issued the apology once.
