Canadian defensive lineman Trent Corney attended the National Football League Regional Combine in Houston, TX on Saturday, February 13.
The Brockville, Ontario native started 11 of 12 games for the University of Virgina in 2015, his senior season. He made 36 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks and forced one fumble.
At the NFL Regional Combine in the “Space City”, Corney ran a 4.69-second electric 40-yard dash, 4.15-second shuttle, recorded a 38-inch vertical jump and broad jumped 10-feet, two inches. He checked in at six-foot-two, 254 lbs. with a 10-inch hand and 32.75-inch arm length.
He’s training at Athletic Edge Sports in Bradenton, FL with Canadian Strength and Speed Coach, Mike Gough.
In the CFL’s December Scouting Bureau rankings, the defensive end checked in at No. 8 on the list.
Corney’s University of Virgina Pro Day is set for March 15.
