The Toronto Argonauts have agreed to terms with national linebacker Cory Greenwood on a one-year deal, per CFL sources.
The 30-year-old played in eight games last season, registering 36 tackles while dealing with a series of injuries. He played in two games in 2014 after joining the Argonauts following five seasons in the NFL with Kansas City and Detroit.
Greenwood was set to become a free agent on Tuesday and would have likely drawn interest from several teams. When healthy, Greenwood is a ratio-breaking starter at weak-side linebacker and a guy who can also contribute on special teams.
