The Edmonton Eskimos have officially announced the coaching staff that will joining first-year head coach Jason Maas.
Former B.C. Lions head coach Mike Benevides will serve as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach while Mike Gibson, who has been a coordinator and assistant with several CFL teams, will serve as offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
Cory McDiarmid, who has 12 years of CFL experience and was an assistant special teams coordinator with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last season, is the special teams coordinator. Casey Creehan, a former defensive coordinator in Hamilton and Toronto, is the defensive line coach.
Former CFL defensive back Barron Miles is the defensive backs coach while also taking on a role in player development. Miles has won two Grey Cups as a player and two more as a coach with B.C. and Saskatchewan. He was the DB coach in Winnipeg last season.
Tim Prinsen will be running backs coach while Jordan Maksymic handles quarterbacks. The team said the linebackers and wide receivers coaches will be announced at a later date.
