Another beautiful day at McMaster for Ticats practice. Here’s what’s happening:
• Canadian defensive back Courtney Stephen missed practice for a second straight day meaning it’s less likely he’ll play Thursday versus Montreal. His absence creates a ratio issue for the Ticats but as we’ve discussed before, the team has a number of potential solutions.
• defensive end Adrian Tracy is still absent, attending to a personal matter. He’ll be back on Wednesday and could still play vs. the Als. If not, it’s likely Sam Scott opposite Justin Hickman.
• there have been a couple of questions about how long certain players will be out. As regular readers are aware, head coach Kent Austin is often reluctant to discuss the nature and duration of injuries. That said, I would expect running back C.J. Gable to return within the next couple of weeks and receiver Luke Tasker to be back shortly after. Neither have season-ending injuries.
