Update from Ticats practice (hint: there’s more injuries.)

CFL: Montreal Alouettes at Hamilton Tiger-Cats

First full practice of the 2015 season at McMaster University on a beautiful sunny day. Of course, given the Ticats’ run of recent injury luck, the news can’t be entirely good…

The latest: starting defensive end Eric Norwood has been placed on the six-game injured list after an apparent household accident that required stitches. He’s not at practice.

To fill his roster spot, the Ticats moved running back Ray Holley from the practice roster to the active and re-signed Sam Scott to the practice roster after being released yesterday. Scott was taking first-team reps in Norwood’s spot today.

Oh, and receiver Bakari Grant isn’t practicing today, either.

There is some positive news on the injury front: receivers Terrell Sinkfield, Terence Tolliver and defensive back Johnny Sears are back practicing today.

With both Luke Tasker and Kyle Miller hurt, add another name to possible the list of possible holders for Justin Medlock: Matt Coates.

The online gambling site Bodog has released their pre-season Grey Cup odds. They have four West Division teams ranked higher than the Ticats.
