A cloudless day at McMaster University for Ticat practice – their last session before Monday’s pre-season game – but there wasn’t much by way of good news.
• running back C.J. Gable has a hand injury and is expected to miss approximately four weeks, meaning it’s unlikely he’ll be ready for the season opener on June 26.
• the team is still waiting on more information regarding the knee of Brian Bulcke and head coach Kent Austin doesn’t think he’ll be ready to start the season, either.
• defensive back Rico Murray also missed practice with an undisclosed injury.
• quarterback Zach Collaros took very few team reps and Austin said it’s unlikely he’ll play in Monday’s pre-season game against Ottawa. “We’ll get the other guys in,” Austin said. “As for the exact rotation, we’re still working on that.”
