Pigskin Pete is hanging up his bowler hat.
Dan Black, who has belted out the famous “Oskee Wee Wee” chant before Hamilton Tiger-Cat home games in his role as the mascot, is calling it quits after 10 seasons in the role.
Black made the surprise announcement via Facebook on Tuesday afternoon.
Black has played the role of Pigskin Pete since 2006, when he took over Paul Weiler who held the job for 31 years.
