Canadian defensive tackle Ted Laurent, one of the anchors of the Ticats defence, has been scratched for today’s matchup against the Toronto Argonauts.
Laurent, who is tied for the team in lead in sacks with four, will miss the game due to a family matter.
American Nikita Whitlock will start in Laurent’s place but because of the ratio implications – team’s must start seven nationals, of which Laurent was one – Hamilton will now start two Canadian defensive linemen in Justin Capicciotti and Jamaal Westerman.
American defensive Adrian Tracy is also scratched, along with defensive back Richard Leonard. American Bobby Richardson has been added to the roster to back up Whitlock.
