Alouettes repatriate DL Alan-Michael Cash

The Montreal Alouettes have signed international defensive lineman Alan-Michael Cash.

Cash was signed by the Argos last March but did not play in a regular season game for Toronto in 2018 and he was released by the double blue last week.

The 30-year-old spent the five seasons (2012-2016) with the Montreal Alouettes. The 2014 East Division all-star notched 138 defensive tackles, 17 sacks, three forced fumbles and two interceptions over 82 regular-season games with Montreal.

The six-foot-two, 292-pound North Carolina State University product registered 149 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss, nine sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles in 54 games over four seasons with the Wolfpack.

The Al’s have to be over the cap with this signing and the signing of Mumba

Good signing IMO. He probably came fairly cheap. Als traditionally have had a good defence. The question is offence starting with QB. Won’t win many games 1-0.

What a trend returning to Als:
Muamba, White, Cash, Dominique Ellis, Patrique Lavoie, Ryan Bomben

While they’re at it, guys I’d like to see come back:
Bear Woods, SJ, Duron, Martese Jackson, Brandon Bridge, Ed Gainey

    Etcheverry Patterson, George Dixon
