CFL community rallies to save contestant on Big Brother Canada

3DownNation contributor and long-time podcaster Ryan Ballantine is currently participating in the latest season of Big Brother Canada and getting some support from the CFL community.

Ballantine, co-host of the CFL Horseman podcast that covers the Calgary Stampeders, can be saved from possible eviction next week – if he gets the most online votes in a matchup against another houseguest. You can read how it all works here.

Ballantine has already avoided eviction once and may need this vote to escape it this time around.

The vote ends at 3 p.m. on Thursday and the results will be announced on the episode this evening.

The CFL community has taken to Twitter to support Ballantine.

Again, here’s the link.

  3. Dancing with the stars yesterday, big brother today
……any best guess as to what’s next ?

  4. It’s people asking for support for a friend, and it costs you nothing. Don’t like it? Why would you bother reading anything with that title?

If it helps you sleep at night, think of it this way: if he’s still in the house, he’s not on here writing articles that seem to get your back up. 😉

my wife watches the show do I asked her about him . She said she feels bad for him because he is a bit of an odd dude and no one in the house likes the guy . Being a stamp fan does that really suprise anyone .

You’re right, and it speaks to the jealousy people have towards the greatness of the Calgary Stampeders. You are living testament to that.

Wow you certainly are full of yourself. Jealousy? Jealous of what ? A declining fan base , an old run down stadium and no hope for a new one , players publicly bickering after the grey cup loss . Pity maybe but certainly not jealousy.

    Why not.

At the risk of sounding selfish: I hope Ryan does get voted out, I want to see his stories on 3 downnation again. His first one was a gem!

  8. Ha ha – Big Brother Canada?? seriously?
I didn’t even know there was a Big Brother Canada!!
Never seen the original US version and I certainly won’t watch a Canadian version.

Do we do anything original in Canada? we do a Canadian Big Brother, Canadian Amazing Race, Canada’s got Talent, Dancing with the Canadian Stars, NCIS Toronto……………zzzzzzzzzzzzz

If we get a Canadian Dancing With The Stars Justin will be there.

Schitt’s Creek (CBC) is original Canadian content. I’m one of 97 per cent of Google respondents who likes the show. Hilarious — and, at times — touching.

    • Actually, the original version was in the UK.

  9. What’s Big Brother Canada – never seen or heard of it.

Voted for Will to stay as he is also a family man and needs rhe money just like Ryan does

  11. How do we vote to get Yup off here?

  12. I’d vote for the guy if he promised to get rid of that ridiculous beard.

Must have lost a Grey Cup bet to sport something that hideous. Come on Rusty, do yourself a favour and invest in a razor.

Big Red was saved. And man can he inhale a hamburger fast!

  14. Another alienated Stumps fan
