Riders sign former Jaguars LB Justin Horton: report

Saskatchewan has inked linebacker Justin Horton, according to Mike Kaye from First Coast News.

The Jacksonville University product made 70 tackles, six for loss, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 10 games during his senior season. He went unselected in the 2017 NFL draft and signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Jaguars. Horton was waived with an injury settlement in training camp.

Hmm, salary cap must be maxed out by now. Many high end players being signed. Must be close to $5.5million.

    *Likely*

  3. Any best guess as to what his injury was ?

I wonder if he will be reporting to mini-camp in April down in Florida?

  5. What Horton was signed for is irrelevant. Hopefully he turns into nice addition to the Riders active roster.

  6. He was apparently a DE in college but too small for an NFL DE, so they tried to turn him into a LB. In the CFL he’ll be a DE. It looks like he’s very athletic, with ah 4.65 40 and a 37 inch vertical.

They don’t need another d end so I beg to differ!
