Ticats re-sign DL Ted Laurent

Ted Laurent is back to anchor the interior of Hamilton’s defensive line.

The Canadian defensive tackle was re-signed to a two-year deal just before CFL free agency began at noon on Tuesday.

The 30-year-old played in 12 games in 2017 making 13 tackles and registering four sacks but has been a perennial all-star with a Canadian passport. Laurent has played in 110 games making 150 tackles 35 sacks and six forced fumbles.

  1. I guess no other team put in a higher bid.

    • He signed BEFORE the deadline so didn’t give himself a chance to see any other offers. I’m sure there would have been suitors for Teddy – he’s a ratio changer.
So much for testing the market!

  2. 2018: THE YEAR OF THE CATS!!!!

    TED! TED! TED! TED! TED!!!

  3. Sweet.

  4. Good signing !

  5. Same as Larry Dean… maybe a good signing and maybe not… Ticats struggled at times to stop the run… that’s on the DL and MLB… and with the current roster we have yet to win a Grey Cup…

Just saying that maybe some changes would be better than status quo…
