Ticats re-sign Canadian LB Nick Shortill

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have agreed to terms with Canadian linebacker Nick Shortillto a two-year deal.

The 25-year-old played in 10 games last season making seven defensive tackles and 14 special teams tackles.

A second-round pick of the Montreal Alouettes in 2015, Shortill is an excellent special teamer who has potential as a ratio-breaker if he can stay healthy.

Shortill was acquired last February in a trade that sent fellow Canadian linebacker Frederic Plesius to the Alouettes.

  1. Glad to see this re-signing!

  2. Nice to see Nick back. He will make a solid contribution in 2018.

  3. Get Atkinson and Daryl Waud signed

Agree completely with getting Waud. I think he has been under-utilized since drafted by Argos. I am sure he would like to come back home.
