Former Riders Canadian DL Ese Mrabure signs with Stampeders

Canadian defensive lineman Ese Mrabure has agreed to terms with the Calgary Stampeders on a one-year deal, per sources.

The 25-year-old was drafted in the first round, fifth overall in the 2015 CFL draft by the B.C. Lions but joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders shortly after playing in 38 games, making 39 tackles and four sacks over two seasons.

    Boom or Bust. Huge upside with relatively high floor. Solid signing unless they had to vastly overpay in a bidding war. That said, given the cap they’ve recently shed, it may not matter on a 1 year deal.

  2. Replacement for Hughes?? Or does he play DT. Either way they’ve gotten younger and acquired a national in a potentially ratio changing spot.
