Ticats head coach June Jones golfs barefoot and putts with his five iron

As if we needed more evidence that Hamilton Tiger-Cats head coach June Jones is a different (and cool) dude, the PGA Tour has given us video evidence from the golf course.

With PGA set to play the Sony Open in Hawaii this weekend, Jones played in the Pro-Am, an event that allows regular schlubs to pay money to play with professionals and the occasional celebrity, like Jones. A video posted to the PGA’s Twitter feed on Thursday features Jones golfing barefoot and putting with his five-iron, something he started after developing the yips.

While Jones’ swing looks pretty good and the putting with the five-iron, while weird, seems effective enough, he might want to re-consider the barefoot thing if he decides to play in Canada this spring… might be a little chilly on the toes.

Not sure why club selection would help with the yips but to each their own…

  2. Marchin’ to a different drummer? As long as you still hear the music. It’s the don’t care about F/A that only comes with age.

  3. My golf game needs help. Maybe that’s the answer! Thanks coach!
