Former Riders head coach Danny Barrett fired by Dolphins

Danny Barrett has been relieved of his duties as Miami Dolphins running backs coach, according to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.

The 56-year-old spent two seasons in Miami.

He was in the mix as the Montreal Alouettes conducted their head coach search which ultimately resulted in Mike Sherman being hired.

Barrett has plenty of CFL experience both as a player and a coach. He spent 16 years at quarterback with four different teams and served as head coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 2000 to 2006, compiling a 57-68-1 regular season record and 3-5 in the playoffs. After that Barrett spent the better part of a decade with U.S. college teams.

    Historic………haha

  5. How about a position with the Als

  6. A lot of coaching openings out there in the NCAA, NFL and CFL. I am sure with Dannies experience he will land on his feet somewhere in football land.

  7. I’m pretty sure He was a receiver in the cfl before becoming a QB. ( or vice versa) anyone else recall that?

  8. At least they fill lambeau… to the brim

  9. Sask should hire Barret much better than they have now Sask won’t win anything with Jones

Same turds that were on here last year saying SK wouldn’t win a game in 2017 with Glen. Followed by “Who are they going to beat” Well turd brains they didn’t win a game, they won 10 games in the regular season a play off game and 1 possession from a Grey Cup appearance. Followed by they beat everyone at least once. Plus the Riders were in every game right down to the wire except two.
Now you suggest they aren’t going to win anything going forward? Man, you best be trading stamps or collecting coins or Trading Cards looking for Gold as your screen name states TC Gold. Because you don’t not a damn thing about football. It’s either that or stupid pride has you so wrongly biased you want to predict the opposite of what’s most likely going to take place. Cognitive debiasing techniques requires people to consider the opposite of what will most likely happen.
Debiasing techniques are usually found in one of three categories: motivational, cognitive, and technological. I can only see yours as a motivational strategy from nothing more than pure jealousy of how interesting and relevant the Saskatchewan Roughriders have become in the CFL. For many there is an enigma about the Riders. Which keeps people focused on them. They can’t understand how a team that spent 80 years in a wheat field has grown to be the business model of the CFL. Where every other teams front office wants to emulate the Riders business strategies.
You can be a hater all you want. In the end it’s just going to eat you up. Drop the hate and instead relate. Your stress level will drop substantially. That I promise.
