yes Western dominated the 2017 Vanier Cup 39-17 but what is the big deal, as far as I am concern, it is 1-1 between the 2 schools in Vanier Cup appearrance, Laval beat them bad in 2008 44-21

  2. It certainly was a Big Deal!

The big difference this year is that Western beat Laval without much of a struggle. In past Vanier’s when a team from other than Quebec beat Laval or Montreal it was a very tight contest. (Those games were very exciting and I still think the McMaster win over Laval in 2011 was the best football game I have ever seen). The 2017 Vanier is the first time a Quebec based team got thrashed in a Vanier, congratulations to Greg Marshall and his team of coaches and players.
