Peter Dyakowski selects nothing but kickers for TSN players’ poll

Peter Dyakowski has made his selections for the annual TSN players’ poll and there is some, uh, questionable decision-making.

The veteran Saskatchewan Roughriders offensive lineman, once anointed Canada’s Smartest Person by CBC, has filled his ballot with nothing but kickers – including the categories for hardest hitter (Ottawa’s Brett Maher) and fastest player (Calgary’s Rene Paredes.)

He also included Riders’ long snapper Jorgen Hus as the player “most likely to score from anywhere on the field.”

The one kicker Dyakowdki left off his list: Toronto’s Lirim Hajrullahu, with whom he was briefly teammates earlier this season. But Dyakowski had an explanation for that as well.

The lesson, as always: Peter Dyakowski is awesome.

  1. When the time comes, I hope Peter signs a “1 day contract” so that he can retire as a Tiger Cat.

It’s strange to see him wearing another teams colours.

  2. I am really happy we picked him up, no disrespect to Brendan Labatte, but he’s been the glue that’s held the Oline together, plus he seems like a genuinely awesome guy!

  3. Yeah, was a great move trading for him, our GM sure knows what he’s doing! 😀

  4. Why didn’t The Cats hang onto this guy? He hasn’t missed a game this season and the Cats could have gotten a great receiver for him as Toronto did. This really needs to be explained because it’s like an episode of the twilight zone. The Cats get nothing while the Argos get a great receiver and the riders a great linemam. No wonder the Cats are fighting for a last breath of football.

The true glue that’s held the Oline together has been the removal of Dan “The Gaping Sieve” Clark.
