Questions linger over Nichols’ finger

All eyes in Winnipeg are on Matt Nichols’ finger on his right throwing hand.

Nichols left the game against the Tiger-Cats in Week 16 after taking a shot to the right hand.

Nichols suffered the injury in the first quarter when stripped by Hamilton’s Abdul Kanneh. He got up flexing his hand and there was blood on it when he went to the bench.

Nichols leads the CFL with 26 touchdown passes against only seven interceptions. He hasn’t thrown a pick in his last 107 straight passes.

Until Nichols answers them, questions will linger around his finger.

You could say: Bombers’ stretch run relying on Fickle Finger of Fate.

  2. Finger Lickin’ Good ?

  3. Pretty sure he threw a pick at the end of the first half against Hamilton to end that streak with no picks.

I don’t think the injury came from Abdul Kanneh stripping the ball. That looked pretty innocent. Matt Nichols hand got stepped on by Coleman after Nichols hit the ground. Watch the full replay and you’ll see his hand get stepped on.

  5. The question is how bad is it & should they risk further injury.

Gotta watch this week what happens to Nichols. My pick-um choice hangs in the wind at this time.
Little worried about the Cats and my Stamps. It will not be easy. Slippery slope for Stamps defense. BC must clean up their act. I am thinking Argos for this rematch against riders. Don’t care much because Edm or Wpg will dispatch riders before the play-offs arrive. I sincerely believe Esks (excluding Stamps) will be the danger in the last 4 games. I am thinking Argos for first in the East. Can’t bet against Trestman and R. Ray.

Ya sure white horse. The all mighty EE who finally won a game against a sad sac Montreal team is going to dispatch a Western team. You only hope because you know that your worst nightmare green team is going to once again take the Stampeders out come playoffs. With how the Riders held Calgary to zero major scores last game you must be sweating bulets. Isn’t that what Cowboys sweat.

Apparently Nicholas WILL start… a modified glove for his throwing hand and was throwing well in practice. More worried about the D. We can lose a game or two and still host a playoff game if Nicholas needs time to heal up, but what are we going to do to shore up the D?
