  1. Good luck to Kenny. Hope he likes pressure. Sergio has set a high standard for the Tiger-Cats kicking game.

  2. Delightful young guy (won’t call him a kid like June Jones seems to call all the players) – sure hope he can kick and punt.

  3. Love June Jones drew asks the questions he answers straight up . Good luck to Kenny got a big test playing Calgary his first game in the league . Although Brett lauther may get signed depending on how his workout goes after practice

  4. Nice kid. Hope he does well.

  5. DREW: Thanks, thanks, thanks….for these mid-week interviews on this site. Especially the questions of Coach Jones about the last game (the quick kick) and other team/game related matters.

I suspect this is easier for you with June than under the previous regime (Kent had so many jobs, he probably didn’t have the patience!).

Interview with Kenny was wonderful – some lightheartedness, and a sense of humour – something all successful teams need (“take your job seriously, but not yourself”).

    Please keep it up!

  6. New kicker…. or maybe receiver??? This “kid” is an entertaining and interesting interview… not like so many other athletes who just give one cliche answer after another…

If he works out and performs anywhere near as good as Sergio then I will also be impressed with Eric Tillman’s ability to find a calibre replacement so quickly…

  7. Allen sounds like a pretty normal guy to me. I hope that he does well. Good luck!

  8. Cats finally headed in the right direction, but perhaps one loss too late. We’re gonna regret that loss to the Argos. They were the team to catch, but now they have the season series, so Ottawa’s the next target. We could still win the season series against the Red/Flats, but they’ve got that tie from early in the year that could hurt us. Even if we could have ended with an OT tie against Toronto… “If ifs and buts were candies and nuts, what a wonderful Christmas it would be….”

Trade deadline Wednesday at 4PM. The only team I think is crazy and impulsive, or desperate enough to buy Zack are the Als. The next most likely guy to be moved? “Chop” Davis. Looks like he’s lost his spot to Kanneh. Davis has not played well since his return; got beat badly on that 3rd and 17 on the Argos late drive, and Kanneh’s more physical.

Every game’s a season ender, so gots ta beat the Stumps on Friday!

  9. Just what the TiCats needed under the circumstances. A good young kicker who has played in big games in the past and got a good NFL look. Best of luck to Sergio in his recovery also. A great guy and teammate.
