American defensive back Imoan Claiborne appears to have been released by the Ottawa Redblacks, according to his Instagram.
It's been a roller coaster ride RNation and wouldn't change it for the world but my time has officially come to an end. A quote that comes to mind is "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us." God is constantly moving in my life and another door will open. No regrets. Any other teams looking for a DB??#AskingForAFriend
He got called for pass interference on Bryant Mitchell at Ottawa’s 10-yard line, which resulted in a 36-yard penalty, that led to Edmonton’s go-ahead and ultimately game-winning touchdown on Thursday as the Redblacks fell to 1-6-1.
The 25-year-old was originally signed in February 2016 by the Redblacks. Claiborne played in 12 games making 40 tackles, four special teams tackles and one interception – that came against the Eskimos – during his time with Ottawa.
