Bombers receiver Weston Dressler placed on six-game injured list

Winnipeg’s top-producing pass catcher has been put on the six-game injured list.

Weston Dressler suffered an injury against Montreal.

He suffered a lower body injury on that play and didn’t take a rep on offence the rest of the game, but he did hold for kicker Justin Medlock.

Dressler, the 32-year-old, has a team-leading 23 catches for 342 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.

Clarence Denmark moves into the boundary slotback position vacated by Dressler. While Ryan Lankford starts in the field slot spot for Denmark against Ottawa.

  1. Excellent player and true pro. Bombers will miss his savvy and football IQ. Langkford looked good in relief and has size and speed and Denmark has proven to be a playmaker, however , there really is no replacing Weston.

Also who will hold for Medlock? With Medlock known to be very demanding about the details I’m betting they have had someone who has been practicing all year as a back up just in case. Lol, don’t think I’d like to be that guy though!

  3. Yeah Medlock is meticulous with details which is why Weston has to hold. Time for the back up QBs to get some game time!
