Argos receiver DeVier Posey placed on six-game injured list

American pass catcher DeVier Posey has been placed on the six-game injured list.

The 27-year-old currently sits fourth in the CFL with 280 receiving yards and tied for third with two touchdown receptions.

He was drafted in the third round, 68th overall by the Houston in the 2012 NFL draft. In 26 games with the Texans Posey made 22 receptions for 272 yards. He bounced from the Jets to the Broncos before signing with the Argos in September 2016.

  1. This is going to present a big challenge to the Argos. Posey was a frequent target for Ricky Ray and for good reason. Also heard WR Chandler Worthy was put on 6-game injured list. Might mean more reps for the RBs. But Jimmy Ralph draws in and he’s exciting as hell!

    • You are right, they lose a big weapon and really only one left with SJ Green.
Back to earth for the Argos tomorrow night.

      • Dunno about that “one left with SJ” comment… Armanti Edwards is having a great year: #7 in the league is receiving (more than Dressler, the top WPG receiver) and #5 in YAC… I’m expecting a big game from Green, Edwards, and Coombs.

        • Good on Edwards too! Its to bad we had to trade him to Toronto. That being said we Got Dyakowski in return, which turned out to be huge for us this year. He has been a stud on the O-line. And we still have tons of star power on our Receiving corps.

It gives Jimmy Ralph a chance to show his stuff. Ralph played very well in the two pre season games.
