Esks receiver Derel Walker signs futures deal with NFL’s Buccaneers

According to ESPN’s Jenna Laine, Edmonton Eskimos receiver Derel Walker has signed a futures contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Walker finished second in the CFL in receiving yards with 1,589 and a team-leading 10 touchdowns on 109 catches in 17 games last season. He had  1,110 yards and six touchdowns on 89 catches in just 12 games and was the league’s most outstanding rookie in 2015.

Set to become a free agent in February, Walker was widely expected to be signed by an NFL club for 2017.

Was this photo taken in Hamilton? Those empty seats look like game time at THF

Those green chairs are in the lower bowl of commonwealth stadium. Nice try buds.

Right sorry I see that now. I was confused because all those empty seats remind me of THF during cat games

  2. Again, not shocking at all that Walker gets a deal in the NFL. Wish him well in camp with the Bucs and if after Labour Day he is not on the 53-man or practice roster Esk fans hope he comes back to Edmonton. Zylstra is the next one to evolve and go to the NFL, expect big things from Big Z in 2017.
