Redblack make 2017 Grey Cup tickets available for a short time

Want to go to the Grey Cup game in Ottawa next year? The ticket window is open, albeit briefly.

By putting down $50 deposit by Wednesday at midnight, fans secure the opportunity to select seats for the 2017 CFL championship before they go on sale to the general public. Tickets have already been made available to the team’s season ticket holders. Prices will range from $85 to $425, with between 5,000 to 6,000 seats priced at $150. There are also $500 field level seats, which include come with food and drink included.

The early-bird promotion and the pricing put Ottawa well ahead of Toronto’s Grey Cup effort, which didn’t make tickets available until July and priced them into the stratosphere before being forced to reduce prices in October, then giving away scores of tickets in the weeks leading up to the game.

  2. Goes to show why the Argos struggle at the gate compared to other CFL clubs : mismanagement.
