Canadian prospect Rashaun Simonise held an NFL Pro Day at the University of Calgary on Monday.
The 22-year old is eligible to be selected in the NFL Supplemental Draft on July 11 after he was ruled academically ineligible to participate in his final year with the Dinos.
Six NFL teams made the trip to Cowtown to see Simonise perform, representatives from the Rams, Cardinals, Packers, Colts, Jets and Redskins were in attendance. As was a scout from the Calgary Stampeders.
Simonise checked in at six-foot-five and 200 pounds. The Vancouver, B.C. native recorded a vertical leap of 35-inches and broad jumped 10-feet, 3-inches. He ran two hand-timed 40-yard dashes both said to be in the 4.40-second range while another team clocked him at 4.52.
Los Angeles National Scout Ted Monago led the rangy receiver through drills.
It won’t be a long wait as Simonise will find out if an NFL team uses a draft pick to secure his services on Thursday.
